Where Does the Money Go?
Great question! Most of your funds go to active, certified projects managed by our nonprofit partners (as detailed below). The remainder goes to finance Climate Action Now’s outreach, operations, content, and the free trees that incentivize Climate Action Now app users to take meaningful, planet-saving options.
Plant Trees
A portion of every subscription dollar goes directly to our nonprofit partner, the Earthlungs Reforestation Foundation, to plant the promised number of trees. Earthlungs pays subsistence farmers to replant Kenya's forests. A win for the planet and a win for the poor!
Reduce Carbon Emissions
Another portion of your subscription dollar goes directly to Renewables.org to accelerate the financing of solar projects in the Global South, where solar can have over five times the benefits of solar in the United States due to lower costs, more sunshine, and the displacement of dirtier energy.
Preserve Amazon Rainforest
Another portion of every subscription dollar goes directly to Conserve.org to support the titling and permanent protection of old-growth Amazon rainforest in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Indigenous Peoples, and the Indigenous Peoples who inhabit the rainforest. The land is donated by the Brazilian government, and your support pays the legal, demarcation, mapping and administrative costs associated with the land titling! Your dollars come with 160% matching funds.

The Climate Action Now app gives users thousands of actions to take on behalf of the planet. These actions are the result of hours of study and research by our team of producers and editors. Content is updated daily to be both relevant and impactful.

Operations
A portion of your subscription dollars helps to pay the salaries of our talented team of software engineers, content authors, support representatives, and other professionals who continuously update and enhance the Climate Action Now app and keep our enterprise running smoothly.

Outreach
We can’t accomplish our mission if the world doesn’t know about us, so a portion of your subscription goes to partners and organizations that help us get the word out. Some, like VoterVoice, are instrumental in connecting us with local, regional, and national politicians.

Get your receipt
Receive an email that confirms your order and verifies your support.
We put your money to work
At the beginning of every month, we purchase from our partners the promised number of trees, carbon reductions, and land and your behalf. And we keep working to advance our mission.
Get a certificate and verification
Every month, we’ll email you an eco-friendly digital certificate for trees/CO2 reductions/land purchased on your behalf in the prior month. Every calendar quarter, we update our public record of certificates for all the promised trees, CO2 reductions, and land purchased on your behalf.
